About Us
The International Center of Worcester creates professional and cultural programs for international visitors sponsored by governmental and non-governmental agencies, private companies, and individuals. It also maintains the sister city relationship between Worcester and the town of Pushkin (Tsarskoe Celo or “Tzar’s Village”), near St. Petersburg, Russia.
Founded in 1963, it is an independent nonprofit membership organization that promotes Citizen Diplomacy through personal contact between citizens of central Massachusetts and visitors from around the world. Its membership of more than 150 people are motivated by their interest in international affairs.
ICW is part of a nationwide network of centers for international visitors (CIVs) that are members of the National Council for International Visitors (NCIV) in Washington, D.C. ICW is given office facilities at the Mosakowski Institute for Public Enterprise by the College of Professional and Continuing Education, Clark University (COPACE).
